I am a newbie to the birding world and would like to know what’s the best way to attract hummingbirds to my feeder. Thank you in advance.
When Hummers return in the Spring, I would always make sure to have a feeder out with fresh Nectar. If you want to help them notice the feeder, I have heard that putting a red ribbon on it would help attract their attention! I hope this helps!
Thank you, will keep that in mind 🙂
Having a clean feeder is key! You’ll want to clean it about twice a week.
Hummingbirds also prefer bird-friendly yards. You’ll want to place your feeders close to trees or shrubs. There are a lot of flowers hummingbirds love. Bee balm is highly recommended, but there’s a huge variety of flowers to choose from that will attract hummingbirds.
Thank you 🙂
