I found a nest in our property, actually inside the propane gas.
There are 3 eggs (photo enclosed).
Somebody knows the specie of the bird?.
Thanks in advance
Possibly a house finch…? I had a delicate nest in my wreath. Eggs were tiny with a light blue color and brownish-red speckles. Adorable!
I am no egg-spert, (I had to put that one in 🙂 but what I ould recommend is sitting away from the nest, but where you can still see it. Wait for any parents to show up, and then ID the parents. If you never seem to see the parents, then they have either abandoned the nest, or are very secretive. Either way, try to avoid the nest so that if there are parents, they won’t leave it. Best of Luck!
Hello, I too have a nest in one of my flower pots with 4 eggs that look just like yours. The eggs were laid around June 22nd. I have yet to see a parent bird any where near the nest.
I am looking for some directions on what to do. The eggs are visible without disturbing the nest. I live in Central Alabama. The nest can stay where it is until I need to bring my Thanksgiving cactus in for the winter.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
